Vegan tim tams
Tim tams are well-known Australian biscuits. If you like chocolate, you'll enjoy them!

Ingredients for 8 tim tams
- 50 grams of margarine
- 150 grams of flour
- 50 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 40 grams of sugar
- 1 tbsp of sunflower oil
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
For the filling and the coating:
- 300 grams of dark chocolate
- 250 grams of margarine
- 2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder
Preparation
First of all, melt the margarine in the microwave.
In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa, sugar, melted margarine, oil, baking powder, and salt.
Roll out the dough until you obtain a rectangle and place it in the freezer for at least one hour.
After this time, cut the dough in small rectangles and place the dough in the freezer again for one hour.
Bake in a convection oven for 20 minutes at 180 °C.
In the meantime, prepare the filling and the coating.
In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate and the margarine.
After about ten minutes, take off the flame and add cocoa powder. Mix well.
Spread the filling on one biscuit and close it with another tim tam.
Then, cover tim tams with the ganache.
Place one last time tim tams in the freezer, then enjoy!
Tim tams can be stored in the fridge for three days.
