Vegan Chinese dumplings
Chinese dumplings (jiaozi) are a type of stuffed dumpling popular in China, prepared especially for Chinese New Year.

Ingredients for four people
For the dough:
- 300 grams of flour
- 150 grams of water
- 1 tsp of salt
For the filling:
- 300 grams of carrots (about 3)
- 100 grams of onion (about 1)
- 150 grams of Savoy cabbage (about ½)
- 100 grams of tofu
- 3 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of sunflower oil
- 1 tsp of powdered ginger
Preparation
First, chop the vegetables and crumble the tofu.
Cook the vegetables and tofu in a pan for a few minutes with ginger and soy sauce.
Meanwhile, prepare the dough by pouring the flour, water, and salt into a bowl and kneading until smooth and homogenized.
Detach one piece of dough at a time, roll it out to form a thin circle of dough and stuff it with a teaspoon of the vegetable and tofu filling.
Close the edges of each ravioli.
Cook the dumplings in a pan with a little seed oil and water for 10 minutes, covering with a lid and turning halfway through cooking.
Chinese dumplings can be stored in the fridge for three days.
