Ingredients for four people

- 800 grams of potatoes (about 8)

- 350 grams of vegan grated cheese (you can also make this at home with this recipe)

- 600 milliliters of unsweetened vegetable milk (I recommend oat milk)

- 1 tbsp margarine

- 1 clove of garlic

- 1 tsp salt

- ½ tsp pepper

- ½ tsp nutmeg

Preparation

Start by thinly slicing the potatoes.
Put the margarine in a saucepan and brown the garlic. Pour the milk and cheese into the pot, let it cook for a few minutes and add the potatoes.
Let it simmer for at least 15 minutes.
Afterwards, pour into a baking dish, sprinkle with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Bake in a ventilated oven for 30 minutes at 180 °C.

The gratin dauphinois can be stored in the fridge for three days.
