Vegan cream, ham, and peas pasta
Cream, ham, and peas pasta is a memory from my childhood. A classic dish of Italian cuisine. Here is how I prepare it now, in a vegan version!

Ingredients for four people
- 300 grams of pasta
- 200 grams of cooked peas
- 180 grams of smoked tofu
- 250 milliliters of vegetable cream (I used soy cream)
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Preparation
Begin by thinly slicing the smoked tofu.
Pour the oil into a frying pan and brown the tofu for a few minutes.
Next, add the cream, peas, salt and pepper and cook for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta. When it is “al dente”, drain it and add it to the pan with the other ingredients.
Serve this pasta dish hot, with a sprinkling of pepper.
The vegan cream, ham, and peas pasta can be stored in the fridge for two days.
