Ingredients for four people

- 500 grams of manitoba flour

- 300 grams of water

- Water for washing and cooking

- 1 vegetable stock cube

- 1 bay leaf

Preparation

Pour the flour into a bowl, add the water and knead for five minutes until you have a firm dough.
Let the dough rest for 1 hour.
Afterwards, start with the seitan washing: knead the dough in a bowl of cold water. Change the water until it has become transparent.
After this time, shape the dough as desired and let the seitan rest for 2 hours.
Meanwhile, prepare the vegetable stock with a bay leaf. Cook the seitan for 20 minutes over a low flame.

The natural seitan can be stored in the fridge for three days.
