Smash burger is a well-known American recipe. In this preparation, the patty is smashed while it's cooking. Here is the recipe to recreate this dish in a vegan way.

Ingredients for four people

- 240 grams of cooked chickpeas

- 200 grams of zucchini (about 2)

- 3 tbsp of breadcrumbs

- 1 tbsp of olive oil

- 1 tsp of salt

- A pinch of black pepper


To serve:

- 4 burger buns

- 100 grams of onion (about 1)

- 100 grams of tomato (about 1)

- Some salad leaves

- 4 tbsp of ketchup

- 4 tbsp of vegan mayonnaise

Preparation

First of all, prepare the patties.
Blend in a food processor chickpeas, zucchini, breadcrumbs, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
Shape the mix into 4 meatballs.
Cook for 25 minutes in a convection oven at 180 °C.
Slice the onion and the tomato.
Hear a pan and place a meatball on it. Smash it until it has a patty shape.
Put a few onion slices on the patty. When the patty is cooked on one side, flip it and let it cook on the other side.
Repeat the same procedure for the other meatballs.
Prepare the smash burger by serving it with a burger bun, sauces, tomato, and salad.

Smash burger can be stored in the fridge for two days.
