Ingredients for four burger buns
- 450 grams of flour (I used whole wheat flour)
- 150 grams of buckwheat flour
- 2 tbsp of brewer’s yeast
- 2 tbsp of salt
- 300 grams of unsweetened non-dairy milk (I suggest soy milk)
- 5 tbsp of sunflower oil
- 2 tbsp of sugar
To garnish:
- Sunflower oil
- Sesame seeds
Preparation
Melt brewer’s yeast into non-dairy milk. In a large bowl combine flours, salt, sunflower oil, sugar, and melted yeast with milk. Knead the dough until you obtain a homogeneous consistency. Cover the dough and let it rest for two hours. Divide the dough into 4 parts, shape them into balls, and let them rise for one hour. Brush the buns with sunflower oil and decorate them with sesame seeds.
Cook for 40 minutes in a convection oven at 180 °C.
Burger buns can be kept in the fridge for two days.
