Mechouia
Mechouia is a Tunisian salad made of bell peppers and tomatoes.

Ingredients for four people
- 450 grams of bell peppers (about 2)
- 300 grams of tomatoes (about 2)
- 2 tbsp of capers
- 2 tbsp of olives
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of powdered garlic
- ½ tsp of chili pepper
- 2 tsp of coriander seeds
- 2 tsp of cumin seeds
Preparation
Grill the bell peppers and the tomatoes for 40 minutes in a static oven at 200 °C. Let them cool for a few minutes.
Delicately remove the skin and seeds, and cut them into small dices.
Pour in a bowl and add capers, olives, salt, garlic, chili pepper, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds.
Let everything rest for 15 minutes to make the vegetables tastier.
Serve and enjoy this dish cold.
Mechouia salad can be stored in the fridge for three days.
